If you apply for a job at The George Institute you will be asked to provide us with personal information eg. your name, address, contact details, CV, employment history, performance ratings, referees and psychological assessments. Under the Privacy Act we must seek your informed consent and acceptance in providing this information and how we will apply and store your information.
After you submit your application
You will receive an automated confirmation email and if your skills match the requirements of the job, you'll be contacted regarding the next steps. We'll also contact you to let you know if your application has been unsuccessful.
If your skills match the job requirements we may call you for a short phone interview. Depending on the outcome of the phone interview, your CV will be short listed and the hiring manager and interview panel will assess whether or not to invite you for an interview in person.
We use behavioural-based interviews. You will be asked questions designed to show previous patterns of accomplishments relevant to the role. On occasion we use psychometric assessments for leadership and specialised roles. You will be informed during the selection process if this applies. You will be asked to provide two recent referees who can comment on your work behavior and performance. The reference checks are also based on the behavioural interviewing methodology.
