Honorary Research Fellow

Dr Nicole Votruba is a postdoctoral researcher leading the design and implementation of a mental health intervention within the wider SMARThealth Pregnancy programme, at the University of Oxford, Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health, and Honorary Research Fellow with the George Institute for Global Health (UK).

She is a political scientist and psychologist, interested in topics of global health/mental health, women’s mental health, implementation science, stigma/discrimination, gender, science-policy inter-relationships.

Nicole has longstanding research and work experience on the research-policy interface in the UK, the EU and internationally. She was policy officer for the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health and has coordinated the global FundaMentalSDG initiative successfully contributing to the inclusion of mental health in the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She has developed the EVITA 2.0 action framework to improve, guide, and accelerate research evidence exchange with policymaking and evidence-based mental health policymaking.
